Re-elect Kappler for NH House

Election time is here again, and I am seeking a fourth term as one of Raymond’s State Representatives to the NH House. I am very proud of my perfect attendance and voting records, both at the State House and as a Rockingham County Delegate, serving on the Executive Committee as Chairman of the Maintenance sub-committee.

This term that just ended, under a determined and able Speaker, and with an invigorated Republican majority, has been very satisfying. We were able to capitalize in this environment, enabling us to accomplish the long list of accomplishments that I have talked about in previous articles. It is amazing and deeply impressing the extent of political reforms that we were able to achieve during this 2011-2012 session.

We are now engaged in a difficult election, but we must continue the progress started for the good of: you, the taxpayer; our towns; our counties; and our great state. We must not go back to our old ways. As shown this term, nothing in the world can take the place of

persistence and determination, and we must continue this trend we started.

While most representatives have sat back enjoying the summer, I have continued working for you, my constituents several days a week, spending my time working on various committees such as the Redress & Grievances Committee, Committee to Study the Issue of Health Care Practitioners Making Referrals of Patients for the use of Medical Devices,

the House Special Committee to Study the 2012 Performance Audit of the Guardian Ad Litem Board, the Joint House Historical Committee, and the Committee to Study Laws

Relating to Condo and Homeowners’ Associations. I have also been working with several other representatives on some possible new legislation for next term.

At the State House, this term, we were able to balance the budget without increasing taxes, fees, or bonding debt, filling a more than $800M gap left by the Democrats from the last budget.
