Getting along with your Neighbor

Carriage Towne News

---- — I was just thumbing through a book that I had years ago when I lived outside of the U.S. titled, “Getting along with your neighbor”, and it said “If your neighbor’s dog came barking and worrying your hens, gerbils or rabbits, just shoo the dog away.” Shoo – to scare, drive or send away by crying ‘shoo’.

Apparently, the New Hampshire version said, “Shoot the dog away”.
