Once again Kingston’s fireworks were nothing short of “spectacular.”

Last year I ventured onto an auto-packed highway for a trip into Swampscott Massachusetts to see what was trumpeted as the mother of all fire work displays.

Given Swampscott’s long-standing reputation of affluence I mistakenly assumed that mere money would translate directly into bigger is better (boy was I wrong!)

A well-deserved tip of the hat to the Kingston Day’s Planning Committee.

I could not help but observe the orderly fashion in which everyone conducted themselves.

It is rare today that an occasion can present itself where the young, the old and all those in between can come together for an exhilarating experience.

I feel a very strong tie to the past as I recently researched and found that in 1777 my great, great grand father took part in the very first Independence Day celebration held right here on the plains in Kingston New Hampshire. (I just made that up to get your
