Kimball Library News

ATKINSON — Have you entered the children’s room lately and noted the billowing ‘clouds’ housed on top of the shelf of non-fiction books on your right? They’ve deflated a bit since everyone likes to poke and prod them, but they are advertising for an upcoming event for children in grades K-5.

Register your children for ‘Soap Clouds’ taking place on Thurs., September 19, from 6:30-7:15 p.m. Miss Celeste will guide you as you explore the science of soap clouds. You’ll be able to watch a cloud materialize before your very eyes! Also included is the ability to mold soap to take home. Seating is limited, so to avoid disappointment don’t wait to register until the last minute.

Do you have Sat., September 28, marked off in your date book? It’s time for the Fall Book & Bake sale! In conjunction with the Town-wide Yard Sale, we offer a myriad of books, music, DVDs, and audio books at great discount prices. This is a great day to see friends from town and collect some items at an advantageous price as well. This year only, we have a nice assortment of reference books for antique collectors. We’ll be here rain or shine, so follow the signs to Kimball Library in Atkinson where old-fashioned values are never out of style. Hint: Early birds get to choose from some of the best baked goods and the best selection of books and media.

Imagine a museum geared for little ones! ‘Imajine That’ is a first of its kind family and child interactive play space where human potential has no boundaries.
