Troop Thanks Community

Carriage Towne News

---- — On behalf of the Sandown Boy Scout Troop 268, I would like to thank the community for the overwhelming support during two of our recent fundraisers: the Annual Spooky Walk and the Voting Day Concession Sale.

At both events we received such positive responses. The Annual Spooky Walk is the largest fundraiser that the boys and their families do to fund all their activities for the year. In the past few years, we have been trying to purchase a new trailer for all the gear the boys need for their hiking/camping equipment.

With the second fundraiser, on voting day, dedicated solely to the trailer fund, the boys and their families held a concession stand down stairs on voting day at Sandown Town Hall.

It was a huge success with many very generous residents purchasing items like egg sandwiches, hot dogs, muffins and even handmade earrings, others just dropping off a donation.

Our troop - scouts, parents and families - are truly grateful for the support of our community and are lucky to see some of the scouting values they learn in action!
