---- — Thank You

I sincerely want to thank Firemen/EMTs Rich St. Hilaire and Graham Pellerin, along with Police Officer Bill Harvey, for their quick response to our home recently. Their professionalism goes above and beyond the call of duty.

Our Fire Dept/EMT service has come a long way from the 1960’s when we had only the Rescue Wagon. I remember well the way we had to call the Fire number and, at the time, Don Clarke (who now lives in E. Kingston) and the late Al Moore responded to our home. Although they had little at that time to work with in the Wagon, they responded quickly and with professionalism.

When Kingston received the first Ambulance, I believe it was in the 1970’s, the “Kingstonian” had an article on the front page that pictured Bill Bartlett and John Merrill with it. They were very active in the Fire Dept. and I believe they were EMTs and were, as far as I can remember, instrumental in obtaining it. (This date might be incorrect, and the info a little off and hope someone will correct it).

From that time, so much has improved with the Fire Dept./EMT services, and our Town should be very supportive of these men and women attending to residents of this and other communities when the needs arise.

When Rich, Graham and Bill were responding to my problem a second call came in and the second ambulance our Town was needed. Thank the Good Lord we have a second ambulance!

Thank you again Rich, Graham, and Bill for your great assistance.
