Thank You Hampstead Fire and EMT’s

Thank You Hampstead Fire and EMT’s

I wish to publicly thank and congratulate the Hampstead Fire Dept and EMT’s on their recent award, “The Lifesaving Achievement Award”.

I can honestly attest, they have earned this award.

On September 14, 2013, my wife’s life was at risk, gasping for breath, at 6:00 a.m.

I immediately placed a 911 call, their response was immediate, within 9 minutes, and in the meantime the 911 operator stayed on the line with me, through my wife being taken by ambulance to Exeter Hospital.

The Hampstead Fire Dept/EMT’s first responder, stabilized her and provided emergency services, most vital to her and assured her transfer indeed was life saving.

I would also like to thank Exeter Hospital’s ER staff and nurses, especially Nurses Ginny and Kendra.

Within minutes upon my wife’s arrival at Exeter Hospital, a stroke was witnessed.

And Exeter ER immediately connected to Mass General’s ER’s stroke and coronary Medical physician specialist. (This is an ongoing agreement of services between Exeter Hospital and Mass General).

Thanks to technology, a live Audio/Video coordinated a lifesaving medical procedure was given to my wife, seamless in harmony, dissolving a serious blood clot and then expediting safe travel by ambulance to Mass General’s ER and ICU.

Our family is most grateful to the excellent doctors and nurses at Exeter and Mass General and, of course, Hampstead’s first responders.

We are residents of Emerson Village, Hampstead, and we often witness the life saving efforts of our first responders.

Mass General’s Case Manager coordinated the transfer of my wife (Ellie Stace) to a rehab center closer to home and arranged her transportation to the Whittier Rehabilitation and Hospital, Ward Hill, Bradford, MA. This is a wonderful progressive Rehab Hospital; the care is beyond expectations.

Having spent my entire life in IT and Computer Technology, I am so pleased to see the efforts of my predeceased peers, as well my contributions to technology that continue to bear fruit in the Medical Profession.

The Stace family is most grateful for the prayers and well wishes from friends, family and neighbors in Mrs. Stace’s recovery.

Jim Stace

Hampstead
