To Hampstead Residents:
Thirty-five years ago, my wife and I had the privilege of being volunteers on the newly formed Hampstead Rescue Squad and worked out of a ratty old building that is now the Hampstead Police Station.
I would wager that, if 6,267 Hampstead voters would take a ten-minute tour of the Police Station and consider how little it would cost them for a new station, we would have a vote of 6,267 “Yeas”.
The Police Chief summed it up — “It is time that the Town of Hampstead steps up to the plate and builds what is necessary for both the Officers and the residents of the Town.”
Again, if you toured the Police Station, no question, you would vote yes on Article 5.
