To Newton Residents:

Carriage Towne News

---- — To Newton Residents:

My name is Robert S. Donovan Jr. and I am running for Selectman in the Town of Newton.

I am married and have three children. I grew up in Newton and have lived here for most of my life. I worked part time for the Newton Police Department for seven years, for the New Hampshire Auxiliary State Police for three years, and for the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Department for ten years. I have been a T-ball and a Little League coach here, and I have also sponsored many teams when I owned my own company.

I was elected Selectman in 2006 and then re-elected in 2009. During my time served, I worked well with all department heads, and I worked with the Recreation Committee to set up the funding for the senior trips. I resigned during the last year of my second term due to personal issues. I felt that I could not give the one-hundred percent effort that was needed.

At this time, I feel that I can give the Town the attention it deserves. I have no personal agenda, and will work for the best interest of all residents. I feel that my past experience will be an asset to the Town. I’d like to keep our town a great place to live. I’m asking for your support on Tues., March 12.

If you would like to talk or have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 603-300-7899.
