Letters to the Editor

December 6, 2012

Thank You for your Support

Thank you to all those who voted to elect me as a Rockingham County Commissioner, I am honored to serve the people in District 2 and also look forward to assisting the Commissioners in District 1 and 3. Since winning the primary, I have been attending the weekly meetings of the Rockingham County Commissioners and other county committee meetings to learn all I can about our county government.

One of the key concerns the Commissioners will soon be addressing is the overcrowded conditions of our County Jail. I will take time to talk to all those who have insight into this issue. I will not be hasty or cursory in examining the problems. Decisions that affect our county correctional system and all issues that affect our county government will be explored in depth.

I want to thank my family, friends and many volunteers who supported my candidacy in the primary and final election process. In speaking to county residents in the past months, I have been able to share my knowledge of our county government, the role it plays in our state and how it can help the residents of Rockingham County. I look forward to being sworn in as one of your Commissioners and invite residents in Atkinson, Brentwood, Epping, Exeter, Fremont, Hampstead, Newfields, Newmarket, Raymond, Salem and Sandown to contact me with questions or concerns about our county government.

Tom Tombarello

Elected County Commissioner
