In November of 1968, I cast my first Presidential vote hours before boarding a flight to Seattle to head out for Vietnam. I looked forward with pride to voting and then seeing who would be my new Commander-in-Chief. I have voted in every primary, general election in New Hampshire ever since then.
Now, unfortunately, the powers to be in our state legislature are revoking my right! I will not show a picture ID on Election Day in Plaistow. Voting is a constitutional right - not a privilege like driving, etc. I will not fill out a “voter challenge form” either. I’m taking this stand against a government (State) that has intruded into my rights without any rational reason.
I checked with the Secretary of State’s office in Concord. Do you know how many cases of voter fraud there have been in the last twenty years? That’s right Zero!
Yet, because of legislators giving into the political correct step of their party, they have decided to make voting another example of Government intrusion into our lives!
Where are the Tea Party Libertarians on this issue I ask?
