Perhaps you could print the following as a thank you to those of your readers who supported my campaign for Selectman in Exeter:
I am grateful for having taken the opportunity to run for Selectman in Exeter. It has been a humbling experience as so many folks rallied to support me and to make my campaign as successful as it was. I thank those who took the time to contact me and to greet me at the polls. My entire campaign was about all the taxpayers in Exeter and listening to their concerns. It is apparent by the vote that my message resonated with many, many residents.
I will continue to do as I have in the past and that is to follow the town issues and to do my part in informing residents. I encourage all to let your voice be heard by attending town meetings, writing letters to the editor and talking to your elected representatives. Exeter is faced with a number of challenging issues and it will require all of us working together to keep the town of Exeter the wonderful place we have chosen to live.
Thank you again to those who worked on my behalf and to those who showed confidence in me by giving me their vote. Your vote does count and I urge all to exercise it in future elections. It is a freedom and privilege that we ought not ignore.
