Letters to the Editor

March 7, 2013

To the voters of Newton:

I am writing to ask you to vote for Jim Doggett for School Board Member from Newton, in the upcoming elections.

Over the past 24 years, Jim has worked hard for the children and taxpayers of Newton, being fiscally responsible and attending as many meetings as possible. He has even gone so far as to closing his business to attend daytime meetings in his efforts to properly represent us. He has constantly tried to balance the needs of the students with the cost to the taxpayers with careful thought and honesty.

Jim is always available to anyone who needs information, wants to express a concern or to discuss an issue. He has always been respectful and courteous in his dealings with the public, even when on different sides of the fence. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table and I consider Jim to be a valuable asset to the Town of Newton, as a School Board Member.

We have been fortunate to have had Jim on the school board all these years and I hope you will join me in voting for him again on March 12th.

Mary-Jo McCullough

Newton
