---- — Kiwanis Says ‘Thanks’
On behalf of the Exeter Area Kiwanis Club, I want to thank all of you that supported our recent, and very successful, third annual Kiwanis Pizza Bowl. Over 250 people sampled the tasty and creative delights of New England Pizza, Pizza Academy, Fremont Pizza, Mama Lena’s Pizzeria, Shaws Supermarket, Lee Mac’s Market, and Shooter’s Pub. All of these pizzerias generously donated their time and their pizzas for this children’s program fundraiser. Without their creativity and outstanding pizzas this charity fundraiser would not have taken place.
Thank you to the Kiwanis sponsored youth programs: Builders Club (Middle School) and Key Club (High School) who helped to run the event. These Kiwanis Youth Clubs stood out for their continuous assistance with trash removal, table clearing, and placemat replacement. They made the place look great during the entire event. I also want to thank SAU 16 for allowing us to use the Cooperative Middle School for this fun, filling, family event. Thanks to Exeter Copy & More for stepping up and meeting our printing needs, and a new logo. Thank you to the Carriage Towne News for their coverage of the Pizza Bowl.
It was truly amazing to see the pride that the local pizzerias take in their product; their creativity was amazing. The biggest thing that stands out about these pizzerias is their commitment to our community. Their willingness to support this fundraiser for local children’s charities and programs is something that not only they should be proud of, but we should all be proud of. I encourage everyone to support these civic-minded pizzerias. These establishments volunteered their time and all of their pizzas in order to raise money for local children’s charities and programs. I’d like to thank all of them for helping Kiwanis in helping the children of our community.
I believe that this year’s Pizza Bowl was a big success for everyone; the people tasted the best pizza in the Exeter area and local children’s charities and programs will receive some of the funding they need.
Finally, to all of you that attended the third annual Kiwanis Pizza Bowl, thank you for your attendance, your support, and your comments. The Exeter Area Kiwanis Club looks forward to your attendance at next year’s Kiwanis Pizza Bowl, and to the creativity of all of the local pizzerias.
