---- — Thank You for Your Generosity

I am writing to express sincere thanks to members of our local community for their generosity following the tragic incident at the Boston Marathon. Our good friend Jeff Bauman was gravely injured that day while waiting for our daughter Erin to cross the finish line. He lost both of his legs.

Among the many emotions we are experiencing as he recovers is the desire to do something to help.

Andy Courtney, owner of Red Hammer Builders, who grew up in South Hampton, is doing just that by volunteering his time and talents as a carpenter to build a wheelchair ramp at our home.

When Andy visited CP Building Supply in Kensington to purchase materials for this project, the company donated the lumber.

That so much good could come from such a tragedy is an inspiration for all, especially those who know and love the survivors.

Thank you Andy and CP Building Supply.
