Dinner Seminar

EXETER — The Food and Health Forum will host Barton Seaver, the newly appointed Director of the Healthy and Sustainable Food Program at the Center for Health and the Global Environment at Harvard’s School of Public Health for a dinner seminar on Mon., February 11 at Blue Moon Evolution in Exeter. Barton’s role is to help people understand our food choices and how they impact human health and the environment.

As a chef and environmentalist, Seaver believes that truly recognizing the process of food production and consumption can drastically improve the environment. He was named a National Geographic Fellow for his tireless work and initiatives to preserve depleted seafood specimens by suggesting substitutes.

The dinner seminar is part of the Food and Health Forum’s Community Wellness series which features dinner seminars and cooking and wellness classes.

Cooking classes are from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and dinner seminars are from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at the Blue Moon Evolution, 8 Clifford Street, Exeter. The dinner seminar series includes a three-course meal including soup/stew, salad and dessert. Vegan, gluten free and other options are available.

    Ft. Gibson, OK — Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown passed away February 17, 2013, at her home in Ft. Gibson, Okla., after a brave battle with cancer. Kitty was born in Brentwood, N.H., on April 21, 1946, to the late Chester H. Clements and Catherine F. (Morse) Clements. She was raised in Kingston, N.H., and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. She lived for many years on Plum Island, Mass. While living on Plum Island, she was a columnist and photographer for The Daily News of Newburyport, as well as a school bus driver.

  • Ted "Teddy" Bolduc

    Fremont, N.H. — Ted “Teddy” Burleigh Bolduc, was born the youngest son of Phyllis and Joseph Bolduc Sr., on May 22, 1962. He died suddenly April 8, 2013, after a brief illness. Ted lived for most of his life in Fremont and Raymond. He was well known for his skills with heavy equipment and worked all his life in construction and excavation in the Fremont and Epping area. In addition to his work, he loved ice hockey, baseball, hunting, country music, and animals, especially his dog Finlay. He was very proud of, and also loved by, his very large family.
