HAMPSTEAD —The monthly Men’s Breakfast at Hampstead Congregational Church will be held on Sat., January 26, 8:00 a.m. in Hadley Hall, 61 Main Street in Hampstead.
Dan Heer, of Newton will be speaking about his hiking trip on the Haute Route, one of National Geographic’s Top Ten Trails. Ranging from Chamonix, France to Zermatt, Switzerland, the trail is a demanding two-week trek through some of Europe’s tallest peaks, linking Mont Blanc with the Matterhorn. The paths are not heavily used, and there is a superb variety of Alpine flowers. Wildlife includes ibex and chamois as well as the marmot with its shrill alarm call.
