Chorus Rehearsals

PORTSMOUTH - Sounds of the Seacoast Women’s Barbershop A Cappella Chorus was awarded First Place Medals at Harmony, Inc.’s Regional Barbershop Singing Contest and Convention held April 26, 2013 in Leominster, MA.

To celebrate this accomplishment the chorus is announcing a special membership opportunity where women and girls of all ages can join them for five rehearsals and then perform with them on their annual show taking place Sat., June 22, at Portsmouth High School.

Beginning May 13, the chorus will teach their guests two songs in the barbershop / a cappella style to perform on the show. There is no fee to participate and no musical experience is required – guests will be provided with music, learning CDs and guidance. The only thing that is required is a love of singing and having fun.

Rehearsals are held Monday evenings from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m., at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Newington. There will not be a rehearsal on Memorial Day.
