---- — EPPING - On Sat., May 18, the American Legion Post 51, Rte. 125 in Epping, is hosting their 3rd Annual Car Show and a Pig Roast to benefit “Wounded Warriors @ 45 North”. The Car Show will take place from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m., and admission is free. Come show your car – 1975 and earlier! First and Second Place Awards will be presented. There’s no entry fee. Donations will be accepted, and there will be raffles and 50/50. That same day, the Legion will also host a Pig Roast with all the fixin’s which will be available for purchase starting at 1:00 p.m. Other foods (hamburgers, hot dogs, etc.) will be available for purchase as well. A cash bar will be open outside.
Both events will be held in the parking lot of the American Legion on Route 125 in Epping (across from Telly’s Restaurant). Rain date is May 19.

All proceeds from both the Car Show and the Pig Roast will be donated to “Wounded Warriors @ 45 North”. The camp’s founder, Jon Worrall, 57, is a retired Sergeant First Class in the Army, who himself suffered a traumatic brain injury while serving in Iraq. Worrall turned his retirement home in Pittsburg, into a camp for wounded veterans needing solitude and camaraderie and where wounded or deployed Warriors can go to enjoy some fishing, shooting, hunting and relaxing.
