Senior Clambake

KINGSTON — The Kingston Recreation Commission is planning its 2013 Downeast Clambake (and foliage viewing) excursion at Fosters in York Harbor, Maine, on Wed., October 16.

There will be a luxury coach taking participants to this feast, which is prepared over a wood fire. There is musical entertainment before and during the meal, and a good dose of good old-fashioned humor. The menu is clam chowder, steamed clams, corn on the cob, potatoes, rolls, succulent Maine lobster (BBQ chicken or vegetarian plate may be substituted for lobster), and for dessert moist, warm blueberry crumb cake. A full service beverage bar is available, and there is a gift shop for browsing. All this, not to mention the exciting narration en route…and also the great raffle prizes!

On the ride home, the bus will make a quick stop at “Nubble Light”, and nice stop at York Beach for candy or ice cream.

The cost is $33.00 for Kingston Seniors (55+) and $35.00 for non-residents.

The coach will leave Kingston Town Hall at about 10:30 a.m. and return by 4:30 p.m. This trip usually fills up fast. For reservations, call Roger at 603-642-7257.
