'Arsenic and Old Lace'

---- — HAVERHILL, MA - When is a simple glass of elderberry wine not so simple, when it is served up by the maniacal Brewster sisters in “Arsenic and Old Lace,” which will be presented by Northern Essex Community College’s Top Notch Players on November 9 and 10, at 7:30 p.m., and November 8 at 4:00 p.m., in the Chester W. Hawrylciw Theater on the third floor of the Spurk Building on the Haverhill campus.

This adaptation will be directed by NECC students Brianne Beatrice of Marblehead, MA.

This classic comedy follows the antics of the murderous Brewster family. Written by Joseph Kesselring, this play gained notoriety when it was adapted for film featuring Cary Grant.

The cast includes: Samantha Wheatley of Hampstead as Elaine Harper, Alex Spinelli of Plaistow as Mortimer Brewster, and Matt Lundergan of Raymond as Mr. Gibbs.
