NEWBURYPORT, MA —Parker River National Wildlife Refuge will offer a one hour Nature Kids Program on Tues., March 19, from 11:00-Noon. This program is led by one of the Refuge’s dedicated volunteers who is a retired school teacher. Participants should meet at the Parker River NWR headquarters, 6 Plum Island Turnpike, Newburyport, MA. The topic of the program will be “Backyard Birds” and will teach children how to identify common birds, what makes birds unique, and the different adaptations that birds have depending on their habitat.
