Coffeehouse Concert

HAVERHILL, MA — In a rare double bill-- two performances for the price of one--Barbara Kessler and Chelsea Berry both play at the New Moon Coffeehouse on Sat., February 16, starting at 8:00 pm. The coffeehouse is located in the Universalist Unitarian Church, 16 Ashland Street, Haverhill, MA. Admission to the show is $20.00; $10.00 for those ages 18 and under.

Chelsea Berry’s songs have incredible edge, power, and finesse. Her presence has been described by listeners as “compelling” she draws the entire house into her world like moths to a flame. Her vocals are controlled, smooth, and intensely powerful. Her original lyrics are reminiscent of the folk music of the sixties.

Barbara Kessler feels most alive when she’s on stage performing in front of an audience Her demeanor on stage--a combination of playful spontaneity and focused attention to the audience--really pulls people in. Her honest, engaging lyrics reflect the human condition, the universal experiences people share but have been socialized not to reveal. “I want my audience to feel like we’re having an intimate conversation in a living room,” she says.

Come hear both these dynamic women. Tickets for this show are available at the door starting around 6:30 p.m.; doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets may be reserved prior to the show by visiting www.newmooncoffeehouse.org, or by calling 978-459-5134.
