Another Wild Saturday Night

Carriage Towne News

---- — HOLDERNESS —The big Saturday night is just around the corner, Another Wild Saturday Night, that is, Squam Lakes Natural Science Center's summer gala on Sat., July 20, 6:00 p.m. at the Science Center on Route 113 in Holderness. Don't miss this chance to join with supporters of the Science Center and all its programs and to have an evening of fun, food, fantasy, and frenzy.

The fun begins early with mixing and mingling while filling up on the tempting food from The Common Man caterers and casing the tables of silent auction items, including Red Sox and ski lift tickets, boat rentals, paddle boat yoga class, lodging packages, golf, and many special items for the home and garden. A full list of the auction items can be found on the Science Center website, www.nhnature.org.

The fantasy begins at 7:30 p.m. as the talented cast of Another Wild Saturday Night returns with live and video skits which last year featured the malevolent Iain MacLeod, and the lovable loon couple among many. Come and be surprised at what the cast and writers have dreamed up for this year. As part of the first act, the bidding for the Live Auction should get the crowd into a frenzy as guests vie for two dinners prepared by celebrity chefs at a Squam Lake home, two nights at Church Landing Cottages, Osprey Tagging with Iain MacLeod, a half-day Squam Lake Adventure, and a trip to Tuscany.

And in a night of last changes, during intermission you'll get a last chance to defend your bid at the silent auction tables before returning to laugh through the second act while waiting to hear if you have won one of those special items. It's an evening of drama, high and low, and not to be missed.

Another Saturday Night Wild costs $50.00 per person which includes two complimentary drinks, Big Bite hors d'oeuvres from The Common Man, the show and a chance to participate in two lively auctions to benefit Squam Lakes Natural Science Center. Last year's production was a howling success--to be outdone this year. To make reservations call 603-968-7194 or purchase online at www.nhnature.org/programs/gala.php.
