---- — PORTSMOUTH - Swing into Summer with a recital by the saxophone quartet, the “Whatever Four,” on Sun., June 9, at 11:30 a.m., at South Church, Portsmouth.

Russ Grazier (Alto and Tenor) formed the original quartet while at Portsmouth High School in 1985 with underclassmen Mike Matos (Tenor and Soprano), and Bryan Campbell (Baritone). Nearly two decades later the three returned to New Hampshire and joined forces with Virginia MacDonald (Alto and Tenor) to form The Whatever Four.

The Whatever Four performs two or three time a year, often for private functions, church services, charity events, receptions or the occasional First Night. They enjoy performing a broad range of classical music along with plenty of jazz, blues, and even pop arrangements.
