Foxwoods Trip

NEWTON — Newton Recreation Commission is sponsoring a trip to Foxwoods on Tues., April 23. The bus will leave the Plaistow Park-n-Ride located on Westville Road at 8:00 a.m. and will return at approximately 7:30 p.m. Parking is free.

The cost is $25.00 for Newton Residents and $30.00 for non-residents. The price includes round trip transportation from Park-n-Ride, $10.00 lunch voucher, $15.00 Keno voucher, and bus driver gratuity.

If you are interested in joining, please send a check made payable to Newton Recreation Commission and mail to PO Box 378, Newton, NH 03858. Or visit the Town Hall to pay in person.

For more information, call 603-382-4405 ext. 13. Space is limited to the first fifty people who pay. The deadline to sign up is April 12.

  • Successful Car Show/Pig Roast

    The Activities Committee from American Legion Post 51 in Epping donated the proceeds from their Annual Car Show and Pig Roast held on May 17 to the New Hampshire Association for the Blind. The Association is the statewide leader in providing vision rehabilitation services for NH people of all ages who are blind and visually impaired. Junior Vice Commander Rick Pelletier is presenting the $1,400 check to Mary Chase. A big thank you to all who volunteered their time to make the day a success.
