Meet the Artists

EXETER —Best of Show has been awarded for the October Theme Show, “Autumn Ablaze”, but the People’s Choice Award has still to be chosen at the art reception on Thurs., October 17, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., at the Seacoast Artist Association Gallery, 225 Water Street in Exeter. Enjoy interpretations of the theme and meet artists ablaze with the inspiration of fall colors. Refreshments will be served.

The final result from the Progressive Painting during the Fall Festival the first Saturday in October will be raffled off at the end of reception. Tickets are just $2.00.

October’s People’s Choice Award Winner is photographer Pat Boyd-Robertson of Hampton for “Summer Perfection.” The SAA awarded Best of Show to Sarah Sargent of Candia for her photograph titled, “Echoes of Frost 1”. The Seacoast Artist Association is a not-for-profit organization; 25 percent of sales go towards an annual scholarship for graduating high school students seeking a college education in the arts.

  • Successful Car Show/Pig Roast

    The Activities Committee from American Legion Post 51 in Epping donated the proceeds from their Annual Car Show and Pig Roast held on May 17 to the New Hampshire Association for the Blind. The Association is the statewide leader in providing vision rehabilitation services for NH people of all ages who are blind and visually impaired. Junior Vice Commander Rick Pelletier is presenting the $1,400 check to Mary Chase. A big thank you to all who volunteered their time to make the day a success.
