BRENTWOOD —Brentwood Recreation is pleased to offer the following programs and activities.

Archery: Beginner and Intermediate classes on Tuesdays, April 29-May 20 at 3:30 p.m. The cost is $55.00.

Women’s Self Defense: A four-hour class for women and teenagers on Sat., April 27, from 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at Brentwood Community Center. The cost is $10.00.

Adult Over 30 Coed Softball: The season will run late June through mid-August. Individual or team sign up deadline is May 15. Register online at http://www.brentwoodnh.gov/recreation.php or at the Recreation office.

Yoga: The next eight-week session begins Tues., April 16 at 6:30 p.m. All ability and experience levels are welcome. The cost is $64.00 per session. Drop-ins are always welcome.

Summer Programs: Red Cross Babysitter Training Course: August 1, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.; Mad Science “Secret Agent Lab” July 15-19, 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.; Engineering with LEGO! Jedi Engineering or Jedi Master Engineering: June 24-28; Challenger Sports Soccer Skills Camp: August 19-23; Multi Sports Camp: July 22-26; Surf Camp: July 15-19; Bruce Joyce Baseball Camp: July 29-August 2.

Foxwoods: The next trip to Foxwoods Resort and Casino in southeastern Connecticut will be on Mon., April 22. The bus leaves the Brentwood Recreation Area at 7:30 a.m. and returns approx. 7:30 p.m. The cost is $35.00. Please call the Recreation office by April 15 to reserve your seat.

  • Successful Car Show/Pig Roast

    The Activities Committee from American Legion Post 51 in Epping donated the proceeds from their Annual Car Show and Pig Roast held on May 17 to the New Hampshire Association for the Blind. The Association is the statewide leader in providing vision rehabilitation services for NH people of all ages who are blind and visually impaired. Junior Vice Commander Rick Pelletier is presenting the $1,400 check to Mary Chase. A big thank you to all who volunteered their time to make the day a success.
