Comedy Show/Concert

Carriage Towne News

---- — HAVERHILL, MA —Want to laugh? Come to the New Moon Coffeehouse in Haverhill on Sat., April 20 at 8:00 p.m. Two of the funniest entertainers in the music Christine Lavin and Don White--perform together in a night of music and comedy. The coffeehouse is located in the Universalist Unitarian Church, 16 Ashland Street, Haverhill MA. Admission to the show is $20.00; $10.00 for those ages 18 and under.

Christine Lavin’s smart and funny songs nail our lives and foibles on the head! With a comedienne’s arsenal of irony and wit, Christine’s delightfully skewed songs cover a lot of territory. Relationships: “What Was I Thinking?” politics: “Baracolate Chip Cookies,” life’s injustices: “Attractive Stupid People” and a lot more.

Don White stays right at home to mine comic gold. Coming from the world of stand-up, he is a family man whose concerts can turn what happens in his home into a hilarious onstage biopic. His funny and often touching songs like “How to Get Your Kids to Leave Home,” “Be 16 With Me,” and “Rascal” go straight to his audience’s heart.

Come hear these fantastic funny musicians. Tickets for this show are available at the door starting around 6:30 p.m.; doors open at 7:00 p.m. for a pre-concert knitting circle! Christine loves getting to know her audience and sharing a little down time before the show. So grab your knitting needles and enjoy conversation with friends, old and new. Of course, for those not interested in the knitting circle, the concert starts at 8:00 p.m.

Tickets may be reserved prior to the show by visiting, or by calling 978-459-5134.
