Highnote Festival

— EPPING – The 12th annual Highnote Festival, a non-profit benefit for the Adam McPhee Memorial Foundation, will be held on Sat., September 8, from 2:00 p.m. until dark at 173 Prescott Road in Epping. Music and events will be held rain or shine.   Enjoy fireworks, Skydive New England (demo jump) and hot air balloon rides, weather permitting.

The cost is $15.00 for adults; kids and high school students are admitted for free. Tickets will be available at the gate.   

Activities include arts and crafts for all ages, hay rides, rock climbing wall, snowmobile water cross, Scottish games, local   artisan exhibit booths, horseshoe tournament and more. Entertainment will be provided by Tmud and The Spuds, BBGUNZ, Wayne   from Maine, and the Shoestring Theater giant puppetry for kids of all ages!

C-R Helicopters of Nashua will be giving rides from 2:00-5:00 p.m.

The approximate ten-minute ride costs $20.00 for adults and $10.00 for children under age 12.

Food will be available from Zampa Bistro and Billy Goat Grubb.

  • Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown, 66

    Ft. Gibson, OK — Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown passed away February 17, 2013, at her home in Ft. Gibson, Okla., after a brave battle with cancer. Kitty was born in Brentwood, N.H., on April 21, 1946, to the late Chester H. Clements and Catherine F. (Morse) Clements. She was raised in Kingston, N.H., and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. She lived for many years on Plum Island, Mass. While living on Plum Island, she was a columnist and photographer for The Daily News of Newburyport, as well as a school bus driver.

  • Ted "Teddy" Bolduc

    Fremont, N.H. — Ted “Teddy” Burleigh Bolduc, was born the youngest son of Phyllis and Joseph Bolduc Sr., on May 22, 1962. He died suddenly April 8, 2013, after a brief illness. Ted lived for most of his life in Fremont and Raymond. He was well known for his skills with heavy equipment and worked all his life in construction and excavation in the Fremont and Epping area. In addition to his work, he loved ice hockey, baseball, hunting, country music, and animals, especially his dog Finlay. He was very proud of, and also loved by, his very large family.
