Fly Fish NH Show

PELHAM — Merrimack River Valley Chapter Trout Unlimited and Pelham Fish and Game Club are co-sponsoring the Fly Fish New Hampshire Show – the only Fly Fishing Show in New Hampshire. The show will be held March 2 and 3 at Pelham Fish and Game Club, 100 Simpson Road, Pelham.

Vendors signed up to exhibit at the show include fly shops, guides, outfitters, and sporting and conservation organizations throughout New Hampshire. Doors open at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and are open until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. In addition to exhibits, there will be continuous seminars and demonstrations presented by local and regional experts.

Seminars: Dick Peterson – Fly Fishing 101 What you need to get started (9:00 a.m.); Jim Norton – the New England Fly Box (11:00 a.m.); Tom Jutras Fly Casting Demonstration (12:00 and 1:30 p.m.); Angus Boezeman Fly Fishing Strategies (12:30 p.m.); Bob Romano Fly Fishing Maine’s Rangeley Lakes Region (2:00 p.m.).

“This is an opportunity for local anglers to learn about new tackle, techniques and locations to enjoy fly fishing,” said Jim Norton, show chairman and member of both Merrimack River Valley Trout Unlimited and Pelham Fish and Game Club.

This year’s show will feature three well-known authors: Bob Romano, Paul VanderWende and Don Wilson.

  • Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown, 66

    Ft. Gibson, OK — Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown passed away February 17, 2013, at her home in Ft. Gibson, Okla., after a brave battle with cancer. Kitty was born in Brentwood, N.H., on April 21, 1946, to the late Chester H. Clements and Catherine F. (Morse) Clements. She was raised in Kingston, N.H., and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. She lived for many years on Plum Island, Mass. While living on Plum Island, she was a columnist and photographer for The Daily News of Newburyport, as well as a school bus driver.

  • Ted "Teddy" Bolduc

    Fremont, N.H. — Ted “Teddy” Burleigh Bolduc, was born the youngest son of Phyllis and Joseph Bolduc Sr., on May 22, 1962. He died suddenly April 8, 2013, after a brief illness. Ted lived for most of his life in Fremont and Raymond. He was well known for his skills with heavy equipment and worked all his life in construction and excavation in the Fremont and Epping area. In addition to his work, he loved ice hockey, baseball, hunting, country music, and animals, especially his dog Finlay. He was very proud of, and also loved by, his very large family.
