---- — EXETER - The Exeter Public Library will exhibit the art of local photographer David Booth. He has been taking photographs, “since I was sixteen-years-old with a Nikon FM that my father gave to me. I carried around that Nikon and rolls of Kodak Kodachrome film to places like Hawaii, the Philippines, Africa, and Australia while I served in the U.S. Navy.” During the family years with his wife and two children, that camera was always at his side. Now, with his children, “out of the house, I have learned to use and manipulate my digital photographic images.”
In the last few years, David has incorporated other forms of art and photography. “Pencil drawing has taught me to observe the small details. Taking photos on location, it is easy to get caught up with the entire landscape for subject matter. I get excited trying to find the hidden subject to photograph. I am always trying to give the observer of my art, more…by photographing less.”
The show will be displayed in the Children’s Room throughout the months of March and April. Coincidently, the theme, titled “Spring Time”, will “visually” get all of us into the next season - ready to leave all the winter snows behind us!
The library is located in scenic downtown Exeter at 4 Chestnut Street. For additional information, please call 772-6036.
