Meet Willy Wonka

PORTSMOUTH – On Sat., August 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., children can meet Willy Wonka, Charlie Bucket, and the cast from Willy Wonka

at the Scumdiddlymptious Picnic in Prescott Park. Children ages 3-10 years old and their families are invited to this fun-filled, colorful lunch, which celebrates the musical Willy Wonka, produced by Prescott Park Arts Festival in partnership with the Seacoast Repertory Theatre, and presented by The Common Man Restaurant Family on the FairPoint Communications MainStage. The season’s signature musical runs Thursday through Sunday evenings until August 26th.

Guests who attend the event will enjoy a picnic lunch, along with Willy Wonka, Charlie Bucket, and Grandpa Joe. Guests will also enjoy a short performance from the musical performed by the cast followed by a group sing-along. Also included in the ticket price are activities including crafts, games, and face painting.

Tickets to this children’s event are $12.00 each or four tickets for $40.00. Families are encouraged to purchase tickets soon as this event usually sells out. Tickets are available online, through the Prescott Park Arts Festival website, www.prescottpark.org.

    Ft. Gibson, OK — Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown passed away February 17, 2013, at her home in Ft. Gibson, Okla., after a brave battle with cancer. Kitty was born in Brentwood, N.H., on April 21, 1946, to the late Chester H. Clements and Catherine F. (Morse) Clements. She was raised in Kingston, N.H., and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. She lived for many years on Plum Island, Mass. While living on Plum Island, she was a columnist and photographer for The Daily News of Newburyport, as well as a school bus driver.

  • Ted "Teddy" Bolduc

    Fremont, N.H. — Ted “Teddy” Burleigh Bolduc, was born the youngest son of Phyllis and Joseph Bolduc Sr., on May 22, 1962. He died suddenly April 8, 2013, after a brief illness. Ted lived for most of his life in Fremont and Raymond. He was well known for his skills with heavy equipment and worked all his life in construction and excavation in the Fremont and Epping area. In addition to his work, he loved ice hockey, baseball, hunting, country music, and animals, especially his dog Finlay. He was very proud of, and also loved by, his very large family.
