FGC to Meet

---- — FREMONT – The Fremont Garden Club (FGC) hosted their last meeting on March 25th at the Fremont Public Library. Guest speaker, Michelle Mensinger, President of the NHFGC, presented an educational program on Mason Bees. She emphasized why honey bees are endangered and yet so necessary to pollinate gardens, orchards, and farm crops.

In addition, member Karen Coombs and her husband,Phil, of Coombs Farm in Fremont, gave a presentation on housing honey bees and extracting honey. They harvest and sell honey locally at their farm on Chester Road.

Refreshments were provided by members Linda Rafferty and Leslie Milde.

The next meeting will take place on Tues., April 22, at which time election of new officers will take place.
