Classic Movie Night

GREENLAND — Don’t miss Classic Movie Night on Wed., November 13 at 6:30 p.m., at the Weeks Public Library in Greenland. They will show a 1928 silent film (black and white) starring Buster Keaton Silent. Running time is 69 minutes. The film is Not Rated. Call for the movie title. Popcorn and soft drinks will be served.

Sennet, Chaplin, Keaton and the Art of Silent Film Comedy on Tues., November 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Weeks Public Library in Greenland. Patrick Anderson shows how the social and cultural history of the United States is reflected in the celluloid strips that captured it, especially as the art was developed by these three filmmakers.

This program is hosted by the Friends and sponsored by the New Hampshire Humanities Council.

  • Successful Car Show/Pig Roast

    The Activities Committee from American Legion Post 51 in Epping donated the proceeds from their Annual Car Show and Pig Roast held on May 17 to the New Hampshire Association for the Blind. The Association is the statewide leader in providing vision rehabilitation services for NH people of all ages who are blind and visually impaired. Junior Vice Commander Rick Pelletier is presenting the $1,400 check to Mary Chase. A big thank you to all who volunteered their time to make the day a success.
