Jazzy January Night

CONCORD – The Musicians of Wall Street Jazz Ensemble will present their annual Jazz in January cabaret-style evening with two shows on Fri., January 24, at 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. The audience will enjoy Latin, swing and band originals while savoring food courtesy of Hermanos Cocina Mexicana.

Named for its downtown Concord location, the Musicians of Wall Street Jazz Ensemble is comprised of the Concord Community Music School’s jazz faculty: David Tonkin, guitar; Richard Gardzina and Matt Langley, saxophones; Tom Robinson, piano; Don Williams, bass; and John Faggiano and Tim Gilmore, drums. All have performed, individually and together, throughout New England, in New York City and at jazz festivals around the nation.

The Music School wishes to thank Hermanos Cocina Mexicana for food and beverages. Tickets may be bought in advance for $15.00 for adults, $12.00 for students and seniors. The shows take place at the Concord Community Music School’s Community Room, with entrances on Fayette and Wall streets. For tickets and more information call 603-228-1196.   • Successful Car Show/Pig Roast

    The Activities Committee from American Legion Post 51 in Epping donated the proceeds from their Annual Car Show and Pig Roast held on May 17 to the New Hampshire Association for the Blind. The Association is the statewide leader in providing vision rehabilitation services for NH people of all ages who are blind and visually impaired. Junior Vice Commander Rick Pelletier is presenting the $1,400 check to Mary Chase. A big thank you to all who volunteered their time to make the day a success.
