Benefit Dance

PORTSMOUTH - Mark your calendars for Sat., January 18, for the upcoming Portsmouth Community Radio fundraiser dance to be held at the VFW Hall, 238 Deer St., Portsmouth. Back by popular demand, the Jeannie Daniels Band will hit the stage with their infectious dance music -- rock, R&B, Motown, soul, funk, and swing.

The VFW Hall features a comfortable atmosphere with a large dance floor, plenty of room to sit back and relax with friends, and reasonable beverage prices. Tickets will be available at the door and are $10.00, or free if you join as a new WSCA member. This is a 21+ event.

All funds raised by the dance will support the programming of WSCA. WSCA offers a wide range of independent music, local and global news, and community information, all thanks to the enthusiastic support of its members and dedicated volunteers. Portsmouth Community Radio can be found at 106.1FM on the radio dial and streams its broadcasting live at www.portsmouthcommunityradio.org.

So shake off your cabin fever and come together for a great night of dancing with your friends and neighbors, Sat, January 18. The doors open at 7:30 p.m. and music starts at 8:00. For information call 430-9722 or visit wscafm.org.
