Let's Go Ice Fishing

MANCHESTER — The Amoskeag Fishways presents a two part-program for ages 10 and up that will start on Fri., February 14, 6:00-8:00 p.m., by introducing ice safety, fish ecology, equipment and bait, and how to dress to beat the cold. On Sat., February 15, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., participants will head out to a local pond to practice their new angling skills.

Parents and participants over 16 do not need a fishing license during this organized field trip. Participants must wear proper outdoor clothing and bring a lunch on Saturday.

There is no charge to participate. All angling gear will be provided. Advance registration is required.

  • Successful Car Show/Pig Roast

    The Activities Committee from American Legion Post 51 in Epping donated the proceeds from their Annual Car Show and Pig Roast held on May 17 to the New Hampshire Association for the Blind. The Association is the statewide leader in providing vision rehabilitation services for NH people of all ages who are blind and visually impaired. Junior Vice Commander Rick Pelletier is presenting the $1,400 check to Mary Chase. A big thank you to all who volunteered their time to make the day a success.
