Songwriter/Poet to Perform

EXETER —Songwriter/Poet John Perrault will perform on Fri., January 3, 7:00 p.m., at First Friday Coffeehouse, located in the First Unitarian-Universalist Society’s Parish Hall on Elm Street in Exeter.

Balladeer/Poet John Perrault presents an evening of ballads, lyrics, and fresh cross-grained songs focused on the art of paying attention: to your neighbor, government, planet, self. Drawing on a wide range of traditions, both oral and written, John’s selection of songs and poems promises to challenge the head and stir the heart. Former New Hampshire poet laureate, Marie Harris, says of John’s craft, “John Perrault’s ballads are a rare combination of poetry and grit.”

Sign-up for the open-mike begins at 6:30 p.m. Featured performer, John Perrault, begins at 7:30 p.m. Donations are welcome.

  • Successful Car Show/Pig Roast

    The Activities Committee from American Legion Post 51 in Epping donated the proceeds from their Annual Car Show and Pig Roast held on May 17 to the New Hampshire Association for the Blind. The Association is the statewide leader in providing vision rehabilitation services for NH people of all ages who are blind and visually impaired. Junior Vice Commander Rick Pelletier is presenting the $1,400 check to Mary Chase. A big thank you to all who volunteered their time to make the day a success.
