Lions Comedy Night

PLAISTOW - The Plaistow Lions are holding their 5th annual and widely popular Comedy Night on Sat., March 29. This event has continued to grow and has sold out earlier and earlier every year since its inception four years ago, so get your tickets fast. This year’s event will once again be in the beautiful Grand Ballroom of the Atkinson Country Club. Doors open at 6:45 p.m., cocktail hour and hors d’oeuvres start at 7:00 p.m. Comedy starts at 8:00 p.m., and will feature three great national comedians: Artie Januario, John Turco, and Katy Grady. The event will once again be hosted by the very funny Dave Rattigan.

There will also be raffles and many other surprises. All of the proceeds will go to the Plaistow Lions Local Charities Fund to help with various worthy projects throughout the year, including food baskets, sight and hearing assistance, gifts for children, summer camp tuition just to name a few.

Tickets are $30.00, and include a great night of entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, music by a live DJ and lots of laughs. Reserved tables of 10 are available, recommended and get preferred seating.   • Successful Car Show/Pig Roast

    The Activities Committee from American Legion Post 51 in Epping donated the proceeds from their Annual Car Show and Pig Roast held on May 17 to the New Hampshire Association for the Blind. The Association is the statewide leader in providing vision rehabilitation services for NH people of all ages who are blind and visually impaired. Junior Vice Commander Rick Pelletier is presenting the $1,400 check to Mary Chase. A big thank you to all who volunteered their time to make the day a success.
