HAMPTON – Kick off the holidays on Fri., November 30, when the Hampton Recreation and Parks Department “lights up” the streets of Downtown Hampton. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., everyone will be able to enjoy a variety of refreshments, entertainment, horse drawn hayrides and caroling. This is a perfect night to gather with friends and families around the Gazebo to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season.
On Sat., December 1, beginning at 1:00 p.m., the Annual Christmas Parade with many floats, bands and entertainers will be marching through Downtown Hampton. Experience Hampton, a local community group organized to create and support events that show Hampton to be a great place to live, is hard at work encouraging even more participation in this year’s parade.
Parade committee members are working hard on Parade logistics so that everyone can enjoy watching their friends, neighbors and perhaps a celebrity or two march down Lafayette Road. Applications for parade participation with complete details will soon be available for an early registration. Please check the Experience Hampton website, www.experiencehamptonnh.org and our Facebook page to read about Parade progress.
