'Golf & Gourmet' Networking

METHUEN, MA — Local businesses and business networking organizations will host a second annual “Golf & Gourmet, Back to Business” golf and networking event on Wed., August 28 at Merrimack Valley Golf Club located at 210 Howe Street in Methuen, MA. This event, hosted and sponsored by Simply Elegant Catering and Merrimack Valley Golf Club, is held in collaboration with the area’s premier business organizations. Led by the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce, the event is also held by the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce, Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce, Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce, Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce, Salisbury Chamber of Commerce, Methuen Board of Trade, and the Plaistow Area Commerce Exchange. This open house event features eight friendly organizations focused on collaborating in the spirit of business promotion and networking opportunities.

Merrimack Valley Golf Club has offered a free round of nine holes of golf for all event attendees. Tee times will be between 1:00-2:30 p.m. Following golf, golfers and those interested in networking are welcome to join the Chambers in the banquet facility for a free mixer. Hundreds of guests are anticipated to attend. Guests are encouraged to network, socialize and inquire about the Chambers if interested. Guests will also be able to meet each Chamber staff, Board of Directors and our gracious hosts. Complimentary food will be provided by Simply Elegant Catering and a cash bar will be provided. Raffle prizes provided by each of the business organization will be given out during the event. Guests are encouraged to bring a high volume of business cards to hand out to potential clients and customers.

  • Successful Car Show/Pig Roast

    The Activities Committee from American Legion Post 51 in Epping donated the proceeds from their Annual Car Show and Pig Roast held on May 17 to the New Hampshire Association for the Blind. The Association is the statewide leader in providing vision rehabilitation services for NH people of all ages who are blind and visually impaired. Junior Vice Commander Rick Pelletier is presenting the $1,400 check to Mary Chase. A big thank you to all who volunteered their time to make the day a success.
