I respectfully request that you consider the following articles when you vote on March 13th. There are five (5) Warrant articles that would greatly help the Police and Elderly Affairs departments.
Article #14 - Move Elderly Affairs to the Community Center. This move would only hamper the Elderly Affairs program if not completely disrupt the serves we are now providing to our seniors. Your 'No' vote on this article would be appreciated.
Article # 15 - Hire a Director of Elderly Affairs. The selectmen had put a price tag on this article at $25,000.00 to hire a person to do the same job I am doing for $1.00 a year. Your 'No' vote on this article would be appreciated.
Article # 23 - New Police cruiser. By voting 'Yes' on this article, it would keep us up to date on the Police Department's cruiser replacement plan. This article will also allow us to transfer one of our old cruisers to the Transportation division of the Towns Elderly Affairs Department. Your 'Yes' vote on this article would be appreciated.
Article #24 - Sixth (6) Full-time Officer. This would give us the needed number of officers to patrol our town without having to rely on mutual aid. Other towns may be tied up with their own calls and are not in a position to provide us with the needed officer back up Your 'Yes' vote on this article is appreciated
Article #34 - Elderly Affairs Program. By voting yes on this article it would mean that the Elderly Affairs Program will continue to remain part of the police department as it has been since 1993. Your YES vote on this article would be appreciated
