PORTSMOUTH—The Provident Bank has invested $600 to support Chase Home’s 4th Annual Wine, Appetizer & Chocolate Tasting with proceeds to benefit services for at-risk youth. The investment renews support offered by the bank last year.

“The Provident Bank shares a rich history with us that extends well back into the 1800’s—this is a special partnership between two agencies with deep roots in this region,” said Chase Home Executive Director Meme Wheeler.

Established in 1828, The Provident Bank is a mutually owned, independent community bank. Founded in 1877 as an orphanage, Chase Home has evolved through the years to meet needs in the community related to at-risk children and youth.

For Kelly Goodwin, relationship office at The Provident Bank in Portsmouth, supporting Chase Home makes sense.

“The Provident Bank is proud to be a sponsor of The Chase Home for Children in Portsmouth,” he said. “We realize how important it is to support this non-profit company in its mission to assist at-risk youth and their families located in our communities.”

Expressing “tremendous thanks” to The Provident Bank, Wheeler said their upcoming fundraiser is on pace to sell out.

“We are so grateful and the buzz this event is creating,” she said. “This is our biggest fundraiser of the year—and the money raised directly goes to support critical needs.”

At the fundraiser, guests will enjoy light appetizers and chocolate (donated by Lindt) paired with several varieties of wine. The event takes place at Tuscan Kitchen, which is donating the space and providing substantial discounts on the food.

“Tuscan Kitchen is more than the host for this event—they have become a valued partner,” added Wheeler.

Individual tickets for the fundraiser are $65.00, a pair is $110.00, six tickets are $300.00, and 12 are $600.00.

The event will take place on Tues., November 14, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Tuscan Kitchen, 581 Lafayette Road in Portsmouth.

There are a limited number of tickets offered for this event. Tickets may be purchased online at www.chasehome.org
