Bob Merrick recently celebrated his 90th birthday on October 22. He was born in Kingston and has lived there his entire life, except for three years spent in the military during WWII, mostly in the North Pacific. Bob spent his entire working career working at W.S. Clark & Sons in Kingston as an auto mechanic. Shortly after WWII, he became a Fire Ward and was the State Fire Warden for many years. He was very involved in the Kingston Fire Department. Near the end of WWII he married his wife Janet and raised four children. Bob was also an active participant at Town Meetings, along with his friends David Mayhew and Donald Day. He has many stories to share about the “old days”! Happy 90th Birthday, Bob!
