St. Thomas Aquinas student Matthew Radford of Brentwood has been named a Candidate in the US Presidential Scholars Program. He is truly an outstanding young man.Matthew has achieved a number of awards. He’s been named a National Merit Scholar Finalist, an NHIAA Scholar-Athlete, National Honor Society, and National World Languages Honor Society, Spanish Chapter. He's also won St. Thomas school awards for Math, Math Team, Chemistry, Music Ministry, and the Jr. Speech Competition. He's won a Young Organists Collaborative scholarship two years in a row, and he's a piano accompanist for the school's Music and Campus Ministries. Matthew is a member of the Varsity Cross-Country, Indoor Track, and Track & Field teams as a sprinter, mid-distance runner, and long jumper. He is a Life Scout with the Boy Scouts, and has been involved in many community service activities through the Scouts, Christ Church, baseball, and his music. Matthew is a graduating senior. He hass received some Early Action college acceptances with Presidential Scholarships and Honors Programs, and is waiting to hear from some more before deciding where he will go. He plans to combine math, physics, and music. Proud parents are Patti Andrews and George Radford of Brentwood. Congratulations, Matthew, on your many accomplishments!

Ft. Gibson, OK — Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown passed away February 17, 2013, at her home in Ft. Gibson, Okla., after a brave battle with cancer. Kitty was born in Brentwood, N.H., on April 21, 1946, to the late Chester H. Clements and Catherine F. (Morse) Clements. She was raised in Kingston, N.H., and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. She lived for many years on Plum Island, Mass. While living on Plum Island, she was a columnist and photographer for The Daily News of Newburyport, as well as a school bus driver.

Ted "Teddy" Bolduc

Fremont, N.H. — Ted “Teddy” Burleigh Bolduc, was born the youngest son of Phyllis and Joseph Bolduc Sr., on May 22, 1962. He died suddenly April 8, 2013, after a brief illness. Ted lived for most of his life in Fremont and Raymond. He was well known for his skills with heavy equipment and worked all his life in construction and excavation in the Fremont and Epping area. In addition to his work, he loved ice hockey, baseball, hunting, country music, and animals, especially his dog Finlay. He was very proud of, and also loved by, his very large family.
