    Congratulations to the 33 young men and women who were confirmed recently, their sponsors, families, & teachers. The ceremony led by Auxiliary Bishop Francis J. Christian and assisted by Pastor Fr. Don Clinton. St. Joseph Parish serves the communities of Raymond, Epping, Fremont, Candia, Deerfield & the County Nursing Home.

  • COOL Kids

    The COOL Kids Club of the Atkinson Congregational Church held a successful drive to help homeless families with donations of linens, cleaning supplies, hygiene items, towels, soap, shampoo, craft and school supplies, and much more. The donations were delivered to Emmanus shelters in Haverhill, MA. Some of the COOL Kids are, left, Cole Priest, Matthew William, Skye Priest, Sydney Monahan, and Jack Abel. Standing at left is Karen McLain, Director of Christian Education.

  • 'A Midwinter Night's Scream'

    Sanborn Regional High School students put the “shake” back in Shakespeare during two public performances held in the school auditorium, celebrating Sanborn’s Shakespeare Month. Students found that Shakespeare was written to be performed, not to be read. The young men and women dedicated themselves to a month-long intensive workshop (more than twenty students) that culminated in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Scream’, written and directed by Donna Devlin-Young.

  • Sandra Wagoner, 52

    Merrimac, MA — Sandy entered into eternal peace at home in Tennessee on April 11. She was born in Malden, Mass., and went to Haverhill and Pentucket schools. She worked at AT&T in North Andover, at the shoe shop and nursing homes in Haverhill, and lastly at Danville store in Danville, N.H. Sandy moved to Tennessee in 2011 to welcome the birth of her first grandchild. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Carr; father, Roland Gurley, and grandparents, Virginia and Edson Peck. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her husband of 31 years, John Wagoner; son, Brandon Wagoner and his wife, Shannon; grandson, Derek; parents, Robert and Elaine Leatham; aunts, Sharon (Arthur) Benjamin, Nancy (Ed) Hamilton, Gloria Crumel, Ruth McKewen, and Uncle Charlie Peck. Also, several cousins, nieces, nephews, loving in-laws and a host of longtime friends.

  • Jo Ann Hughes, 79

    Sandown, NH — Jo Ann (Phelps) Hughes of Sandown, New Hampshire passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2014, surrounded by all of her children at home. She was born in Little Bend Kentucky, to Beatrice (Shepherd) Phelps and John (Cat) Phelps in 1934. Jo Ann was predeceased by brothers, Marcus Phelps, Johnny Phelps, Forrest Phelps and sisters, Juanita Phelps, and Jeanette (Phelps) Vincent. She is survived by brother, Donald Quiggins of Georgia; sisters, Geneva (Phelps) Stanley of Kentucky, and Frances (Phelps) Bratcher of Tennessee who had just visited Jo Ann in September of 2013.
