Madilynn Galloway 10, daughter of Melissa and Anderson Galloway of Kingston just recently competed in Miss East Coast USA pageant in Trumbull CT. The competition was held in April and was a combination of stage events as well as an interview. She won the Novice Supreme Title which she will now go on to compete in their Nationals in July where she can win scholarship money and other prizes. Madilynn is a fourth grader at DJ Bakie where she enjoys being with her friends and participating in the school band. Outside of school, she spends most of her time at GBC in Brentwood, where she on there competitive gymnastics team. Madilynn would like to send a special thanks to Samantha Prentice for traveling to the pageant and helping out. Wish her luck at Nationals.

Kingston, NH — Betty L. Learned Gosselin, 87, recently of Exeter, N.H. and formerly of Kingston, N.H., Amesbury and Salisbury, died Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Genesis Healthcare Exeter Center, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly. She was the beloved wife of the late Mr. Shirl W. Learned and the late Raymond E. Gosselin.
