Scholastic Art Awards

EPPING — Several Epping Middle School students received honors from the Scholastic Art Awards of New Hampshire. Entries were submitted by teachers, Mrs. Thelma Thompson, Digital Arts; and Mrs. Debra Booth, Art.

Althea DeMarais won the school’s only Gold Key for photography. Silver awards went to: Erin Daley (photography), Maddie Bentz (drawing), Taylor Limoli (painting), Danielle McKay (2 for digital arts), Devyn Simard (sculpture relief), and Abby Smith (photography).

Honorable Mention was earned by: Daley (photography), Smith (3 for photography), Jacob McKay (sculpture), and Brenna Osgood (2 for painting and mixed media).

The students’ work will be on display at the 2013 New Hampshire Regional/State Exhibit at the Stockbridge Theater at Pinkerton Academy, 5 Pinkerton St., Derry.

The exhibit runs through February 2. Viewing hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The awards ceremony for grades 7-9 is on Sat., February 2, at 11:00 a.m.
