On October 13th, Danville Girl Scout Troop 13914 joined volunteers from around the region to participate in the "Honoring Our Heroes" field of flags event. Those who attended worked together to align approximately 6,600 American Flags in perfect order across a field next to The Rockingham Church, located at 90 Newton Rd (Rte 108) in Plaistow. Each flag has a name tag in honor of a man or woman who gave their lives serving our nation in Iraq or Afghanistan since September 11, 2001. You can visit the Field of Flags from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Pictured above, from left, are: back row -Michayla Baker, Emma Schweizer, and Calli Gage; middle row - Elizabeth McIntyre and Melissa Martin; front row - Victoria McIntyre and Sara Martin.
